Senator DeVries Demonstrates Record of Fiscal Responsibility

Last night's debate proved once again that Senator Betsi DeVries is the only candidate in this race who is ready to deal with the serious problems facing New Hampshire families. Senator DeVries stressed the importance of maintaining a balanced budget in order to keep the burden from rolling onto the taxpayers. She acknowledged that tough decisions would have to be made in Concord during the next session. While Senator DeVries has already demonstrated her ability to provide thoughtful and responsible leadership, her opponent continued to tout vague plans to make drastic cuts while refusing to name one single program he would eliminate when asked directly by Senator DeVries.
