State Sens. Jackie Cilley (D-Barrington), Molly Kelly (D-Keene), Jack Barnes (R-Raymond) and Martha Fuller Clark (D-Portsmouth) all defeated their challengers.

SENATE PASSES WINTER HEATING AND WEATHERIZATION PLAN

CONCORD – Legislation to address the high cost of home heating fuel passed unanimously in the Senate today and heads now to the governor to be signed into law.

ROCHESTER-- Over the past two days, Democrats have been criticizing U.S. Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) votes against increasing funding for a home heating assistance program.

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides funding to citizens who need help paying their home oil bills. Democrats say McCain has voted against increased funding five times.

CONCORD- During a committee of conference, the House and Senate election law committees failed to reach a consensus on the rotation of names on election ballots.

However, the committees agreed that candidates will be allowed to place their nicknames on ballots.

This morning the Sunday morning talk shows were filled with discussions about the looming state budget deficit.

On WMUR's Close Up, the panel discussed the spending cap being purposed by the New Hampshire Advantage Coalition.
