A slew of state senate races have just been called, in which the incumbents have all won re-election.

State Sens. Jackie Cilley (D-Barrington), Molly Kelly (D-Keene), Jack Barnes (R-Raymond) and Martha Fuller Clark (D-Portsmouth) all defeated their challengers.

Dems focus on McCain's LIHEAP votes

ROCHESTER-- Over the past two days, Democrats have been criticizing U.S. Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) votes against increasing funding for a home heating assistance program.

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides funding to citizens who need help paying their home oil bills. Democrats say McCain has voted against increased funding five times.

Committee allows nicknames on ballot

CONCORD- During a committee of conference, the House and Senate election law committees failed to reach a consensus on the rotation of names on election ballots.

However, the committees agreed that candidates will be allowed to place their nicknames on ballots.
