New Hampshire's Democratic party chair Raymond Buckley will be issuing a daily statement in response to the Republican National Convention, but for today, he is following U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's lead and putting politics aside.
"New Hampshire Democrats join Sen. Barack Obama in expressing hope that the citizens of the Gulf Coast will be safe as Hurricane Gustav makes landfall," said Buckley. "New Hampshire Democrats also join Sen. Obama in urging donations to the Red Cross at donate.barackobama.com."
"Accordingly, I will make no statement tonight about the activities at the Republican National Convention," Buckley concludes.
