John Stephen Embraces Palin's Values, Bradley Runs Away From ThemCongressional, Vice Presidential Candidate Shares Views On Drilling, Earmarks, Abortion
MANCHESTER, NH- John Stephen, Republican candidate for New Hampshire's 1st Congressional district, today pointed out that he shares the same values and beliefs as Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin, while Jeb Bradley find himself on the opposite side of the same issues. Stephen supports Alaska's own Governor Sarah Palin's plan to drill in Alaska. Bradley voted three times against it (Roll Call #135, 2003; Roll Call #122, 2005; Roll Call #209, 2006). Stephen and Palin have both taken a pledge to oppose wasteful earmark spending, Bradley has refused to take a pledge. Stephen and Palin are both pro-life, Bradley voted with Nancy Pelosi for taxpayer funded abortions through the United Nations Population Fund (RC #266, 2005).
"What is clear is that I am a Sarah Palin Republican," said Stephen. "Jeb Bradley opposes Palin's ideas. He was part of the problem in Washington and represents everything that's wrong with Congress. We need to change a big-spending, go-along-to-get-along, Congress that can't find energy solutions to get our energy prices down. Jeb Bradley's record shows that he can't get the job done and deliver results. We need new leadership."
