Jennifer Horn Busted on Oil Drilling
Associated Press exposes Horn's indecision
The Associated Press story reads, "Horn, 44, of Nashua, insisted she has been clear about supporting drilling as a part of achieving energy independence and referred to her first press release, which says only that she would 'work with Democrats and Republicans to develop a long-term energy solution that makes sense and actually helps working families.' In June, she issued another release saying she supported lifting the ban on new offshore drilling."
"I've been a leader on energy independence, calling for drilling in February when gas was $3.10 a gallon," said Republican Grant Bosse. "Jennifer Horn waited until gas hit $4 a gallon to come around on this issue. We can't afford that kind of indecision in Congress."
Bosse first called for expanded drilling at a Concord City Republican Committee meeting on February 21st. At the same meeting, Horn said she was "open to learning" about ANWR, and wasn't sure how to pronounce it. Horn's first public support for expanded drilling came in a June 18th press release. A chart tracking gas prices over the last nine months can be found here.
