MINNEAPOLIS--A New Hampshire delegate has been pulling double-duty this week.
John Lyons, chairman of the State Board of Education, has spent the week attending events as a delegate for U.S. Sen. John McCain, but he has also been giving a helping hand to the ONE campaign.
"I've been talking to fellow delegates and letting folks know that this is a nonpartisan organization that helps fight poverty," Lyons told PolitickerNH.com.
Lyons volunteered at a bus sponsored by the ONE campaign but he said his most important work has been to promote the organization among his fellow delegates.
The ONE campaign became a fixture during the New Hampshire primary as volunteers would wear black shirts and presidential candidates would often call on the volunteers to explain the organization. The group was founded by Bono and is currently running an ad that features Matt Damon.
