Former rivals endorse Bradley

Former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley, who is locked in a primary battle in an attempt to win back his old seat, has been endorsed by his 2002 rivals.

In 2002, Bradley (R-Wolfeboro) ran in a primary that featured his current opponent John Stephen (R-Manchester), Sean Mahoney and state Rep. Fran Wendelboe (R-Wolfeboro), Gary Hoffman, Bob Bevill and Wayne Barrows.  Today at a Concord press conference Wendelboe, Hoffman, Bevill and Barrows endorsed Bradley for this year's race. Mahoney is prohibited from endorsing a candidate because of his position as New Hampshire RNC committeeman.

"Jeb is the real thing, someone you can trust.  I voted for him in ‘06 because he was doing a good job, I still think he is best for the job, so of course I am supporting him now," Wendelboe said in a press release. "He fought for New Hampshire's conservative interests when we needed him to and I know he'll do that again when he returns to Washington."

"I think it's indicative of the feel that Republicans, and conservative Republicans, believe I'm the best person to beat Carol Shea-Porter in the fall," Bradley said in a interview with PolitickerNH.com.

Bradley's campaign also announced that they will begin airing a new television ad on Thursday, but Bradley said the ad was still being worked on.

I am very disappointed to

I am very disappointed to see what are supposed to be strong, conservatives like Wendleboe and Hoffman endorse Bradley over Stephen. What are they thinking?

Well, Stephen is a liberal.

Well, Stephen is a liberal. What do you expect?

A government is the most dangerous threat to man's rights: it holds a legal monopoly on the use of physical force against legally disarmed victims.

Who, again, are these

Who, again, are these people? And, they endorsed who again?

I hope Wally Edge names these people as big winners as well, a la Jim Coburn.

Rivals endorse Bradley

Why would Bob Bevill, who I always thought of as conservative, endorse a pro-abortion,big spending Liberal Republican like Bradley. True conservatives will support the conservative hero, John Stephen.

Sincerely,

Ted Maravelias

Why Jeb?

We (Wendleboe, Hoffman, Bevil, Mahoney, Bradley, Stephen, Barrows) ran against each other for a year in 2001-2002. You get to know people very well after that amount of time. The ads and political blogs don't mean anything when you see and hear and discuss issues with the same people every day, because you get to know the real person. We are endorsing Jeb because he is the best candidate for the job. I refuse to say anything negative about Mr. Stephen personally, but his "Savings" in HHS is total fiction (check your County tax bill) and his position on earmarks is simply ignorant grandstanding. When the USMC needed Night Vision goggles (NVG's) and the Army needed missile countermeasures for their helicopters, Jeb did an earmark for a quick reaction contract, and makes no apologies for it. John has been critical of this and has said that the contractors (BTW, both NH companies, the #1 and #2 largest employers in NH) should just "get grants" through the normal bureaucratic process. Well, for one thing, military contractors do not "get grants" and secondly, the normal bureaucratic process would take a minimum of 18 months, but more likely 3 years. This shows that Mr. Stephen has zero business experience, and zero military knowledge. I would much rather have my tax dollars spent on NVG's than body bags.
Jeb is an honest, decent gentleman and is the best person for the job. That is why the people who know him the best as competitors are voting for Jeb and I encourage you to do so as well.
