Representatives Shea-Porter and Hodes’ Statement on Yesterday’s Storm
Epsom, New Hampshire — Representatives Carol Shea Porter and Paul Hodes released the following statement today after touring areas affected by yesterday’s severe storm.
“Today, we met with Governor Lynch, as well as emergency responders and administration officials, to discuss the impact of yesterday’s storm. We toured Epsom and Barnstead, and saw the devastation that occurred.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Brenda Stevens. We ask the people of New Hampshire to send their support to her family during this difficult time. Yesterday’s storm affected thousands of people across the state. We urge those who were most affected to contact the Red Cross, FEMA, and the Insurance Commissioner. Our offices are also available to provide any assistance and information that we can.
The people of New Hampshire are resilient. We can and will work together to ensure that those most affected have the resources they need so that they can begin rebuilding what was lost.”
