Lyons not running for governor
By Brian Lawson, PolitickerNH.com ReporterJohn Lyons (R-Portsmouth) has decided not to run for governor, The Union Leader is reporting.
Lyons, a McCain supporter and Chairman of the State Board of Education, will serve as the finance co-chair of the New Hampshire Republican Victory Committee.
"I have been approached by state party leaders to consider a run for governor. I am humbled and honored to think that people think I could do a good job," Lyons told PolitickerNH.com in March.
